FENTON EXPO !!

There’s a buzz around town as everyone is preparing for the upcoming Expo event this weekend at the High School. There’s an 80’s theme and loads of activities for the kids, including costumed characters and a petting zoo. Many local businesses will be there and we will be there too! So if you’re curious about photography services or just want to chat, stop in and see us! We will be in a corner booth and would love to talk with you! It’s sure to be a good time.

The Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the annual raffle. 1st prize is a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado Crew or a Camaro SS Convertible (or $30,000.00 cash). 55″ HD TV’s are the secondary prizes and 5 will be given away. Tickets are $100.00 and only 1000 will be sold. Many of the vendors will have the tickets for sale, so be sure to get yours. The drawing will be held at the Taste of Fenton on August 9th.

Upcoming events

Well February has arrived and we’re getting busy here at the studio. I want to take a minute here to update you in case you’re wondering what we do all day.

Next week we will be photographing the little beans jeans semi-finalists so if you haven’t entered your little one yet, you might want to head on over to the Little Bean Jeans facebook page and enter your photo, there’s only a few days left. There really are some great prizes being given away.  

February 20th thru the 22nd we will be set up for some bathtime babies – so fun!! 

Pet fashions will be on the 25th and the 27th. Can’t wait!!

Valentine Fun…

I love photographing children. Just being around them makes me happy, they are so unpredictable – I never know what to expect. I had my favorite little ones into the studio the other day, (my grandchildren). I truly thought they would have fun visiting with me at work but I thought possibly I might meet some photographic resistance from my grandson because although he lets me take his picture (all the time), he will rarely look at me or even engage in the activity of me taking his photo, he’s not quite to the run and hide stage yet (With any luck he’ll never do that), but let’s just say he tolerates it. To my surprise he did great!!  but my little granddaughter wasn’t able to find the smiles for grammy this day and she normally will let me take her picture and most often provides the sweetest little poses and smiles. 

 

It just goes to show me that I’ll never know the outcome until the photo goes to print. Although she is really NOT happy with me at the moment this photo was taken, my little princess still manages to give grammy that priceless moment. With that said, I’ve spent the past couple of days working on creating a valentine set, I’ve got an X and I’ve got an O and I’ve got hearts galore, I’ve got pink and I’ve got red – I also have at least 20 different ideas floating around in my mind, what I’m looking for now are a few models to test it out and help me with creating some new studio samples. If you think you might want your little one to be photographed for valentine’s day, come on in we’ll have a blast!  Just be sure you mention this blog so that we can waive the session fee.

Don’t wait too long, Valentine’s Day will be here before we know it!
